Newark—Erma Marie Beman, 92, entered eternity on Sept. 3, 2013, at her son's home.
There will be no prior calling hours. Family and friends may attend a Graveside Service in East Newark Cemetery at 1 p.m. Sept. 10. In memory of Mrs. Beman, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Wayne County, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, NY 14489 or Life Time Care, 800 W. Union St., Newark, NY 14513.
Mrs. Beman was born the daughter of the late James and Adeline David on Jan. 11, 1921 in Lyons. She attended Lyons Schools and enjoyed being a homemaker. She and her husband, Philip, worked together at the family business Old Fashion Cracker Co. Over the years, she was a member of the Ladies Home Bureau and loved to volunteer at the NewarkWayne Community Hospital. Mrs. Beman enjoyed gardening flowers and vegetables and was known for her good cooking.
Mrs. Beman will be remembered by her son and daughter-in-law James and Sharon Beman of Newark; two grandchildren, Scott (Stephanie) Beman of South Carolina and Amy (Darryl) Sapp of Maryland; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law Marie and Ralph DeJohn; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Philip Beman, in 1999 and her son, Richard Beman, in 1997.
