CANANDAIGUA A Canandaigua woman who city police said was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning on South Main Street has died, according to a Strong Memorial Hospital representative.

Sgt. Scott Kadien of the Canandaigua City Police Department said a vehicle operated by Annette A. Oliver, 50, of 156 Camelot Drive, Canandaigua, was traveling south on South Main Street shortly before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and was attempting to make a left turn onto Saltonstall Street when it struck Viki L. Perry, 56, of 61 Foster St., who was walking east in the crosswalk.

City police, along with the Canandaigua Fire Department and Canandaigua Emergency Squad, responded to the scene.

Perry was taken by ambulance to Thompson Hospital, then was transported by Mercy Flight to Strong, Kadien said.

Oliver was not injured, he said.

The Ontario County Sheriff's Office's accident reconstruction team also responded to the scene, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
