LYONS — AARP will offer driving safety courses in September and October.
The driver safety course is designed to educate participants about how best to reduce traffic violations, crashes and chances for injuries; update drivers’ knowledge about relevant new laws and provide safe driving strategies to compensate for age-related changes that affect one’s own and others’ driving skills and capabilities.
The class schedule is as follows:
- 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sept. 17, Third United Methodist Church, 56 W. Main St., Sodus.
- 9 a.m. to noon, Sept. 10-11 and Oct. 8-9, Wayne County Department of Aging & Youth, 1519 Nye Road, Lyons.
The cost is $17 for AARP members and $19 for nonmembers. Participants are asked to bring licenses and AARP membership cards. Registration is required. For more information or to register, call 946-5624.
