  • Events bring teen fun to libary

    The Palmyra Community Library has planned the following teen events through October.
    • Anime Club - Tuesday, Sept. 10 and Oct. 8, 3:30 p.m. - Full length anime films or episodes from your favorite series. Call for more information about this month’s feature.
    • Twinkie Creations Challenge – Wednesday, Sept. 18, 4-5 p.m. – Twinkies are back!!! The challenge is to create a tasty and personal Twinkie creation. We’ll provide the supplies and bring your creativity.
    • Banned Book Week – Sept. 22 through 28 - Stop by the library this week and check out a banned book. For every book you check out your name will be entered into a drawing for a fabulous prize. (Open to all kids in 6th to 12th grades).
    • Annual Pizza Taste-Off – Wednesday, Oct. 2, 6:30 p.m. – Whose pizza is the best in town? The best crust, the best sauce and the cheesiest are just some of the categories we’ll be considering. (Open to all kids in 6th to 12th grades) Free.
    • Teen Read Week “Seek the Unknown @ your Library” – Oct.13 through 19 Visit the library this week and give us your book recommendation. In return we’ll give you a take-out snack. (Open to all kids in 6th to 12th grades).
    • Haunted Library – Oct. 26, 2 to 4 p.m. - Enter if you dare! The Cuyler Street ghost and his ghoulish friends have moved to our new Main Street location. They will lead you to the cellar where you may run into some old friends and meet a few new ones. Admission: a box or can of food for Palmyra Macedon food pantry.
