NEWARK — Wayne County 4-H is holding an Open House about joining 4-H on Monday, Oct. 7 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Cornell Cooperative Extension, 1581 Route 88N, Newark.
Current families, volunteers and members will be available to share their experiences with potential new members. There will be make and take crafts, food projects, and live animals on hand. Please bring the family to learn more about 4-H.
4-H is in every community across America – urban, suburban and rural. 4-H families can participate in projects like animal science, cooking and healthy living, the environment and outdoors, public speaking, and the County Fair. The fundamental 4-H ideal of practical, “learn by doing” experiences encourage youth to experiment, innovate and think independently.
