NEWARK — The Newark Garden Club will meet on Friday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. in the lounge of the Park Presbyterian Church, 110 Maple Court. The speaker will be Joan Lanier, Master Gardner from Pittsford. She is an independent landscaper having recently landscaped the Lusk Farm in that township. She will speak on plants suitable for growing in the fall and winter.
The club will be presenting the annual Newark Garden Club Civic Beautification Award to a Newark Business who has maintained excellent horticultural appearance upon their business property and shows enthusiasm in the beautification of Newark.
Refreshments by Jan Heald and Lorraine Healy with floral arrangements by JoAnn Mincemoyer will be followed by a short business meeting led by President Shirley Stowell.
