Friends called from 1 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 6 at Boeheim-Pusateri Funeral Home, 77 William St., Lyons. A funeral mass was held at 10 a.m Oct. 7 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Lyons. Burial was in South Lyons Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Pines of Peace Hospice, Ontario; Lyons Ambulance; or St. Michael's Church, Lyons.
Willie was born in Millstream, Germany, on Oct. 1, 1936, the son of Michael and Loretta Mae Gensler. He retired from Wayne County Highway Dept. as a mechanic after 36 years of service. He had worked at Jack Samuels Ford Garage in Lyons and operated a repair shop at his home for many years. He was a member of St. Michael's Church. He served in the U.S. Army.
Willie is survived by two daughters, Susan (Terry) Lang of Tully and Cindy Baestlelin of Albany; a son, Michael (Jennell) of Lyons; and three grandchildren, Morgan, T.J. and Robert. He was predeceased by his wife, Donna, in 1989.
