Finger Lakes Community College will bring its eight-week nurse assistant/home health aide training program to the FLCC Wayne County Campus Center, 1100 Technology Parkway, Newark, starting Dec. 2.
Graduates can prepare to take the New York State Nurse Assistant Certification Exam and seek employment in hospitals and other health care facilities. The program includes preparation for the state Home Health Aide exam as well, which giving graduates options when seeking employment.
Peg Churchill, Wayne County IDA executive director, stated, “ I extremely please this program is going to be held at the Wayne County Campus Center. The fields of healthcare and healthcare support have jobs that need to be filled. This training will help to address that. It will also start participants on a career path that can be expanded in the future as they gain experience.”
