ARCADIA — As of Nov. 1, the town of Arcadia will discontinue the E-Waste Recycling Service that allowed town and village residents to drop off — free of charge — their old electronic equipment. The Town Board approved the measure at their last meeting Oct. 8.
According to Supervisor Dick Colacino, E-Waste recycling has changed their policy, notifying the town that they would begin charging them to pick up items collected at the drop off site, located at the highway department on Blackmar Street.
Signs will be installed at the highway barns to notify the public of this change and ad will be placed in the local newspaper alerting residents of the change.
Colacino said items can now be dropped off at the Bottle and Can Return at 1167 E. Union St. in Newark.
