Opinion page editor Rick Holmes and other writers blog about national politics and issues. Holmes & Co. is a Blog for Independent Minds, a place for a free-flowing discussion of policy, news and opinion. This blog is the online cousin of the Opinion section of the MetroWest Daily News in Framingham, Mass. As such, our focus starts there and spreads to include Massachusetts, the nation and the world. Since successful blogs create communities of readers and writers, we hope the \x34& Co.\x34 will also come to include you.

Affidavit

We, Chris Anderson, Sally Weber Anderson, Henry Anderson and Jeff Anderson being of sound mind and body, hereby make the following statements of our own free will, with full knowledge and with full intent:

We hereby voluntarily and starting Nov. 1st, 2013 and all times into the future, renounce any, presumed or actual, U.S. citizenship/United States citizenship under 8 USC, section 1401.

We hereby voluntarily declare that we do not consider the status of U.S. citizenship a prized status.

I’m guessing it has something to do with the “sovereign citizen” movement. But, really, what’s the point?
