PHELPS — A Wayne County woman was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital via Phelps Ambulance after suffering injuries in a car-deer accident Tuesday evening on Route 318 in the Town of Phelps.
According to Ontario County sheriff’s deputies, Kira Kellogg, 22, of 6960 Lake Bluff Road, Wolcott, was the rear center passenger in a vehicle driven by Samantha Langdon, 21, of 12 High St., Apt. 2, Lyons, when the vehicle struck a deer in the roadway at around 6:29 p.m. Oct. 22. Kellogg, who was not wearing a seatbelt, struck the back of her head on the rear windshield, deputies said. When she exited the vehicle to provide information to deputies, she lost consciousness and fell over a guiderail, though she was caught before she could strike the ground, deputies said. She was placed in the vehicle and begin to be sick, deputies said.
Oaks Corners Ambulance also was called to the scene.
