  • A Palmyra woman was charged with failure to yield the right of way, following a two-vehicle crash in Manchester at 8:44 a.m., Oct. 22, said Ontario County sheriff's deputies.
    According to police, Stephanie A. Jacobs, 23, of 2880 Macedon Center Road, Palmyra, was travelling east on Route 96 and when she attempted to turn left onto the north lane of Route 21, she was struck by an oncoming car — operated by David Principio, 17, of 53 Middle St., Geneva.
    Jacobs was sent to the Newark-Wayne Hospital by the Shortsville Ambulance. Principio was not sent to a hospital for injuries, police said.
    Members of the Manchester Fire Department also responded to the scene.
