The Rochester Lancers announced former Buffalo Bills Head Coach and NFL Hall of Famer, Marv Levy will be the honorary captain at the Lancers home opener on November 16.
Levy, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001, released a book regarding his career and personal experiences called 'Between the Lies.' Fans will have the opportunity to meet Levy and get his book autographed from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. prior to the Lancers game
As honorary captain, Levy will be recognized on field before kickoff. Levy will also be presented with a Lifetime Commitment Award, for his dedication and devotion to professional sports in western New York.
"The main objective of this season is to win a championship," said Rich Randall, Vice President of the Lancers. "Who better to reinforce this message than four-time AFC Champion, Marv Levy."
The Rochester Lancers home opener is Saturday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. as they host defending MISL champions, the Baltimore Blast. The first 1,000 kids 12 and under will receive a free Mohawk Wig. To order tickets, or for more information, visit www.rlancers.com.
Season ticket holders can purchase the book and receive a pass for an autograph for $15, while the general public can get a ticket to the game, the book and the autograph pass for $25. There are only 100 packages available.
