Class DDD semifinals
No. 1 Bloomfield 3, No. 4 Cuba-Rushford 0
The Bloomfield girls volleyball team advanced to the Class DDD finals with a win over No. 4 Cuba-Rushford on Wednesday. The top-seeded Bombers took the match 25-13, 25-18, 25-19 and were led by Audra Beechler who accumulated 10 kills, nine digs and three aces. Peyton Robinson added 18 assists and four aces for Bloomfield (18-1), which will face No. 2 Notre Dame in the finals on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Avon High School. Cuba-Rushford finishes the season at 16-3.
Class C semifinals
No. 2 Gananda 3, No. 3 Avon 1
The second-seeded Gananda girls volleyball team defeated No. 3 Avon 27-25, 24-26, 25-9, 25-23 on Wednesday to advance to the Class C finals, the Blue Panthers' first trip to the sectional finals since winning the title in 2010. Jenni Stearns posted 18 kills and 10 digs to lead Gananda. Jessie Carder added 19 kills while Peyton Wyjad provided 30 assists and 10 digs. The win was the 400th career win for head coach Joan DiRisio, with all 400 wins coming with the Gananda program.
Class DD semifinals
No. 2 Lyons 3, No. 11 Perry 1
The Lyons girls volleyball team advanced to the Class DD finals with a 25-11, 24-26, 25-18, 25-16 victory over No. 11 Perry on Wednesday. Abbie Shields piled up 16 kills, eight digs and two blocks to lead the second-seeded Lyons to the win. Hannah Lester had nine kills, six digs and two blocks, Javana Salone made six kills and Taylor DiSanto contributed 35 assists and four kills. Lyons will face No. 1 Geneseo on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Avon.
Class C2 semifinals
No. 2 Marion 2, No. 6 Wheatland-Chili 1

Class BB quarterfinals
No. 1 Victor 3, No. 9 Eastridge 0
The Victor boys volleyball team earned a 25-21, 25-15, 25-15 sweep of No. 9 Eastridge on Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the Class BB tournament. Adam Dake made 21 assists to lead the top-seeded Blue Devils. Brannan Perdicho added five kills. Brandon Hutchinson finished with five blocks to pace Eastridge (8-12). Victor will face No. 4 Brighton in the semifinals.
Connors and Ferris Bowl Class B finals
B9 Pal-Mac 35, B10 Franklin/Wilson 32
The Pal-Mac football team claimed the Class B title in the Connors and Ferris bowl on Wednesday with a 35-32 victory against Franklin/Wilson. Stephen Morrell accounted for all five touchdowns for the Red Raiders as he went 9-of-18 for 89 yards and three scores through the air while also contributing 102 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. Devin Soliday and Tyler Williams each recorded 12 tackles in the win. Daequan Holloway ran for 125 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries to lead Franklin/Wilson (1-8). Pal-Mac finishes the season at 3-6.
