  • Carlton F. Dennie passed away on Oct. 19 at the age of 92.
    His memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 26 at The Zion Episcopal Church, Main St., Palmyra. Interment followed immediately at the Palmyra Cemetery. Contributions in Carlton’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
    Carlton served in the United States Army from 1942-1945 and served in World War II. He was a lifetime member of the Palmyra VFW and Palmyra American Legion. Carlton was employed at Garlock for 37 years and enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, hunting, and fishing.
    He is predeceased by his sisters, Lillian Waltman and Marion Zayas; brother, Floyd Dennie. Carlton is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Annie Dennie; daughters, Norma (Richard) Vanderwall and Paddigene (Joseph) Mistretta; son, James Dennie (Christina Main); sister, Dorothy Augustine; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
