Arthur H. Mander, 93, passed away peacefully on Oct. 30 at the DeMay Living Center.
Friends called from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 4. A funeral service followed at 1 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St., Newark. Interment will be in Fairville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society or Lifetime Care Hospice.
Arthur was born Feb. 23, 1920 in Palmyra, the son of George and Eva Werner Mander. He retired from Sylvania after 25 years. In his retirement, he spent many years traveling and enjoying his time in his garden. Arthur truly lived his life to the fullest with many friends and his family.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Heald; his sweet girlfriend, Eva Hyde; grandchildren Larry Mander, Angel Rohnke and Irene (Roger) Bates; great grandchildren, Adrianna, Logan and Lara; cousins, nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. Art was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Serlina; his children, Emily Mander, Barbara Engman and Larry Mander, Sr.; and his sixteen siblings.
