NEWARK — Bishop Mark Webb, Bishop of the Upper New York Conference of the United Methodist Church, will visit Newark First United Methodist Church on Sunday, Nov. 3. He will preach the sermon and lead a celebration of Holy Communion at the 10:00 am worship service. Bishop Webb will greet worshipers at a coffee hour following the worship service.
Bishop Webb was elected Bishop July 19, 2012 and assigned to serve the Upper New York Annual Conference beginning September 1, 2012. Before his election Rev. Webb served as pastor of several United Methodist congregations in western and central Pennsylvania. He has served on numerous denominational committees and task forces and served as a delegate at the Church’s General and Jurisdictional Conferences.
Bishop Webb is a native of Williamsport, PA and is married to Jodi Webb. They have two sons. The Webb’s make their home in Baldwinsville.
