Statistical Information: In September, 78 males and 48 females were committed to the jail facility, 87 transports, 9,840 inmate meals were served and $54,200 was collected from 29 inmates released on bail. Inmates worked a total of 1,185 hours of labor in laundry, facility cleaning and food service. The Jail Facility boarded in 44 inmates (9 Ontario, 14 Genesee, 8 Oswego, 1 Cayuga County Sheriff’s Offices and 12 immigration detainees from the Batavia Federal Detention Center), and 5 inmates were state ready for transfer to state prison. Court Security Officers cleared 3,349 people entering the Hall of Justice through the magnetometer, securing 80 weapons (knives, razors, and scissors). Deputies traveled 103,967 miles on patrol, investigating 78 motor vehicle accidents with 17 injured, 2 missing persons, 23 animal complaints, 1,857 miscellaneous complaints, 477 minor crimes, 20 major crimes and 8 fires totaling 2,465 complaints received. Deputies issued 374 traffic tickets, 7 DWIs and made 124 violation, misdemeanor and felony arrests. The Records Office processed 55 pistol permit applications, 41 pistol permit amendments requiring a Brady Check and registered 41 sex offenders. The Civil Office served 129 legal papers and 76 Family Court orders, handled 9 evictions, received $111.890.92 and paid out $110,479.60 to creditors. $13,521.79 was remitted to County Treasurer Thomas Warnick for the County’s General Fund.
