NEWARK — Finger Lakes Community College will host informational sessions at its three campus centers for those interested in learning more about certificate and degree programs for paramedics.
They will be held as follows: 7 p.m. on Nov. 18 at the Victor Campus Center, 200 Victor Heights Parkway, Victor; 7 p.m. on Nov. 19 at the Wayne County Campus Center, 1100 Technology Parkway, Newark; 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Nov. 20, at the Geneva Campus Center, 90 Pulteney St., Geneva.
The programs will discuss the admission process, including program costs and financial aid. Participants also receive an overview of FLCC’s 18-month Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic certificate program and the related associate degree in applied science.
The certificate program is designed to provide advanced training to students who have already certified as New York state EMTs at the basic level. Instruction is offered through lectures, lab experiences, clinical lessons and field training.
