The New York Natural Resources Conservation Service extends the 2014 fiscal year application cutoff for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program and Whildlife Habitat Incentives Program to Nov. 15.
Applications may be considered for funding after Nov. 15 if additional application rounds are announced or for consideration in 2015. All applications are ranked based on national, state and locally identified resource priorities and the overall benefit to the environment.
The Environmental Quality Incentives Program offers financial assistance for practices addressing soil erosion, water quality and habitat degradation. The Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program helps participants restore and protect fish and wildlife habitat in grassland and shrubland areas.
