  • • Geneva man charged with drug possession
    LYONS — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Jeremiah D. Allen, 24, of 1213 Blue Spruce Circle in Geneva, for drug possession.
    Allen was stopped on Emmel Road in Lyons for failure to dim high beams. During the traffic stop, deputies found Allen to be in possession of marijuana and an oxycodone and acetaminophen pill which is a controlled substance. He was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance by ultimate user outside of original container and failure to dim high beams.
    He was released on appearance tickets and is to appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
    • Sodus man violates order of protection
    SODUS — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Matthew J. Buttaccio, 56, of 4 State St., Apt. 4, in Sodus, after he made numerous annoying phone calls to a person protected from him by an order of protection.
    Buttaccio was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree stalking.
    He was arraigned in Sodus Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $1,000. He is to return to court at a later date to answer the charges.
    • Teen allegedly steals bracelet
    VICTOR — A Newark teen was charged Oct. 19 with petit larceny, Ontario County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Miralya Rosado, 16, of 108 Vienna Road, Lot 50, was charged following a shoplifting complaint from Sears in Eastview Mall. She allegedly selected a silver bracelet valued at $89.99 and concealed it, attempting to leave the store without paying for it, deputies said.
    She was issued an appearance ticket for Victor Town Court and released to her mother.
    • Man allegedly fails to appear in court
    WOLCOTT — A Wolcott man was arrested on a bench warrant Oct. 19 after he allegedly failed to appear in Farmington Town Court on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, Ontario County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Nicholas J. Wyatt, 29, of 6043 Alport St., was arraigned in Farmington Town Court and sent to the Ontario County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.
    • Man charged with DWI
    CANANDAIGUA — An Ontario man was charged Oct. 20 with driving while intoxicated and failing to keep right, Ontario County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Matthew G. Storms, 36, of 2518Ridge Road, was stopped for allegedly crossing over the center line on County Road 28 in Canandaigua, deputies said. He was allegedly found to be intoxicated after failing sobriety tests.
    He was issued appearance tickets for Canandaigua Town Court and released.
    • Man arrested on warrant
    PALMYRA — A Palmyra was arrested Oct. 18 on a bench warrant out of Ontario County Family Court for a support violation, Ontario County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Page 2 of 3 - James A. Cardin, 30, of 410 Conifer Dr., was arraigned in Family Court and sent to the Ontario County Jail on $500 cash bail.
    • Woman charged with DWI
    CANANDAIGUA — A Palmyra woman was charged Oct. 19 with driving while intoxicated, speeding and failing to keep right, Ontario County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Jordan M. Rice, 19, of 505 E. Main St., was allegedly seen by deputies speeding and crossing the center line, deputies. She was allegedly found to be intoxicated and a breath test revealed she was nearly twice the legal limit.
    She was issued appearance tickets for Canandaigua Town Court and released.
    • Man charged with DWI
    MACEDON — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Tyler M. Craig, 22, of Boynton Road, Walworth, on Oct. 19, for driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, after he was stopped for having a headlight out on his vehicle.
    Craig was also issued tickets for having a BAC greater than .08 percent, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and inadequate lights.
    He is to return to Macedon Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
    • Man arrested following domestic dispute
    LYONS — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Daniel P. Briggs, 27, of 8606 Helch Road, Lyons, following a domestic dispute on Oct. 17.
    Deputies were called to the Briggs’ residence after receiving a report of a physical altercation between Briggs and his girlfriend. Upon arriving, it was discovered that during the incident, Briggs had hit his girlfriend in the face causing swelling and discoloration. The altercation occurred while the couple’s 8-month-old child was on the bed with the girlfriend. Briggs was arrested for third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
    He was arraigned in Arcadia Town Court and released on his own recognizance. He will answer to the charges at a later date and time in Lyons Town Court.
    • Man arrested following domestic incident
    MACEDON — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Stephen J. Rucinski, 30, of 3217 Pintail View, Walworth, following a domestic incident.
    Deputies were called to Rucinski’s residence after receiving a report of a physical altercation between him and his girlfriend. Upon arriving, it was discovered that during the incident, Rucinski had damaged some property and pushed his girlfriend on the floor. He was arrested for fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.
    He was arraigned in Macedon Town Court, and paid bail. He will answer to the charges at a later date.
    • Man arrested for burglary, petit larceny
    SODUS — Following an investigation in the village of Sodus, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Frankie L. Louder III, 30, o4 5828 New Hartford St., Wolcott, for second-degree burglary and petit larceny on Oct. 21.
    It is alleged that Louder entered a relative’s residence without permission and stole some jewelry.
    Page 3 of 3 - Louder was arraigned in Sodus Village Court and held without bail. He will appear back in court at a later date to answer the charges.
    • Teen arrested following disturbance
    NEWARK — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Newark teen following a disturbance in the village of Newark on Oct. 22.
    Deputies arrested Michael B. Clingerman, 18, of 107 McDermott St., for obstructing governmental administration. Clingerman began to pull away from police after a knife was found on him. He was taken into custody and arrested.
    He was arraigned in Newark Village Court and held in lieu of bail. He will appear back in court at a later date to answer the charges.
    • Man arrested for July burglary
    CLYDE — As a result of an investigation of a burglary that occurred July 31, at the Mahogany Ridge Liquor Store in Clyde, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Darius Holt, 18, of Clyde for third-degree burglary, petit larceny and third-degree criminal mischief.
    Deputies were investigating a burglary at the store that occurred Oct. 7, and while questioning suspects about the previous burglary, Holt admitted his involvement in the July burglary. He was charged with third-degree burglary, two counts of petit larceny for stealing two bottles of liquor, and third-degree criminal mischief for damaging the entry door at the business.
    Holt was arraigned in Galen Town Court and remanded back to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $6,000 insurance bond. He is scheduled to appear back in court at a later date to answer the charges.
