  • Ronald Bruce Pullen, 63, beloved father, grandfather and brother entered eternal rest unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22 at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St., Newark. A funeral service will follow calling hours at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Fairville Cemetery. In memory of Ron please consider donations to the family for the purchase of a headstone.
Ron was born the son of the late John and Winnie (Smith) Pullen on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 1949 in the town of Arcadia. He ran his own salvage yard since 1972 and was known for his passion for working on old cars. Ron enjoyed attending the Marion Car Show and the Tom Wahls Tuesday Cruise Night. Ron was always willing to help out his family whenever a need arose. He couldn’t stand to see people or animals in pain and would try to help in any way he could. Ron was a huge person in the eyes of his grandchildren Andrew and Elizabeth, always available to play and take care of them. He will be missed by his family, friends and customers.
Ron will be remembered by his daughter, Shelley (Steve) Pullen-DeRenzo; son, Brian Pullen and his friend, Jessie; grandchildren, Maria and Rose DeRenzo and Andrew and Elizabeth Pullen; sister, Norma McIntyre; brother, Dan (Kim) Pullen; friend, Jamie Austin; mother to his children, Sharon Zelickowski; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Ron was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Irvin McIntyre in 2003.
