  • New deputy joins road patrol

  • LYONS — Sheriff Barry Virts announces the addition of Deputy Sheriff Robert Mansell to the Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol.
    Deputy Robert Mansell transferred from the Seneca Falls Police Department. He attended the Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Academy in Hopewell, New York in 2003 for Basic Municipal Police Certification and in 2013 as a Field Training Officer. Deputy Mansell also attended the Elmira Law Enforcement Training Facility for Basic Police Photography in 2013.
    Deputy Robert Mansell has worked for the Village of Lyons Police Department, Seneca County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Town and Village of Seneca Falls.
    “I am extremely confident in bringing Deputy Robert Mansell to the Sheriff’s Office; a transfer with experience,” Virts said. “Deputy Mansell’s prior training, experience, work ethics and desire to serve will enhance the law enforcement services the Sheriff’s Office provides to our communities”.
    Deputy Robert Mansell resides in Lyons.
