  • • Speeder charged with DWI
    MACEDON — A Farmington man was charged Nov. 8 with aggravated driving while intoxicated, Macedon police said.
    George D. Dranichak, 40, of County Road 8, was initially pulled over for going 54 miles per hour through the village of Macedon around 2:30 a.m., police said. Upon investigation, it was discovered that Dranichak was allegedly intoxicated. He was found to have a blood-alcohol content of .22 percent.
    He was issued an appearance ticket for Macedon Village Court and released to a third party.
    • Man charged with drinking, drug offenses
    MACEDON — A Fairport man was charged Oct. 31 with driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, driving while ability impaired by a combination of alcohol and drugs, refusal to take a roadside breath test, loud exhaust and speeding, Macedon police said.
    Macedon Police report on October 31st 2013 at 11:15PM, the arrest of Justin M. Dala, 22, of Highview Manor, was pulled over for speeding on Route 31 in the town of Macedon around 11:15 p.m. and found to allegedly be intoxicated, police said. A large amount of drug paraphernalia was located in the vehicle and Dala was further charged.
    He was issued appearance tickets for Macedon Town Court and released.
    • Accident leads to arrest
    MACEDON — A Fairport man was charged with felony tampering with evidence, driving while ability impaired by drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana, Macedon police said.
    Daniel A. Preston, 22, of Blackwatch Trail, allegedly had caused a three-car motor vehicle accident, and while police were on the scene he was observed hiding evidence, police said. After sobriety tests, he was further charged.
    He was arraigned in Palmyra Town Court by Judge Terry Rodman and sent to the Wayne County Jail on $1,000 bail.
    • Man charged with petit larceny
    PALMYRA — A Palmyra man was charged Oct. 25 with petit larceny, Ontario County sheriff’s deputies said.
    John S. Disanto, 41, of 107 Market St., Apt. 4, allegedly took a Samsung sound bar, valued at $248 from Walmart in Victor without paying for it, deputies said.
    He was issued an appearance ticket for Victor Town Court and released.
    • Woman ticketed following accident
    MANCHESTER — A Palmyra woman was ticketed Oct. 22 for failing to yield while making a left turn, Ontario County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Stephanie A. Jacobs, 23, of 2880 Macedon Center Road, as traveling east on Route 96 attempted to turn left onto Route 21 when she was struck by a westbound vehicle, operated by David Principio, 17, of Geneva, after failing to yield the right of way, deputies said.
    Jacobs was transported by Shortsville Ambulance to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital for chest and neck pain.
    She was issued an appearance ticket for Manchester Town Court at a later date.

    PHELPS — A Wolcott woman collapsed following a motor vehicle accident Oct. 22, Ontario County sheriff’s deputies.
    Kira Kellogg, 22, of 6960 Lake Bluff Road, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Samantha Langdon, 21, of 121 High St., Apt. 2, Lyons, traveling on Route 318 around 6:29 p.m. when the vehicle struck a deer in the roadway, deputies said. Kellogg struck the back of her head on the rear winshield and was not wearing a seatbelt. When she exited the vehicle to give information to deputies, she lost consciousness and fell over the guardrail, deputies said. She was caught by deputies and placed in the vehicle where she began to vomit.
    Kellogg was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by Phelps Ambulance and later released.
    • Niagara Falls man arrested as fugitive from justice
    LYONS — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a city of Niagara Falls man as a fugitive from justice from the state of Maine.
    While being released from the Wayne County Jail, it was discovered after a records check that Arthur R. Dunphe, 39, of Niagara Falls Boulevard, had outstanding arrests in Maine.
    He was arraigned in Arcadia Town Court and remanded to Wayne County Jail in lieu of bail.
    • Woman arrested for DWI
    MACEDON — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Shawnee S. Locey, 19, of 4651 Ridge Chapel Road, Marion, for driving while intoxicated on Nov. 3.
    It is alleged that Locey was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Walworth Road in Macedon, and left the scene. She was issued appearance tickets for driving while intoxicated while being under the age of 21, driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to maintain lane and drove across hazard markings.
    She is to appear in Macedon Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
    • Unlicensed driver nabbed
    FARMINGTON — A Sodus woman was charged Nov. 4 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation operating without taillights, Ontario County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Misty L. Vergason, 43, of 59 Maple Ave., Apt. 3, was stopped on Terrace Lane in Farmington for driving without taillights and found to be driving without a license, deputies said.
    She was sent to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment in Farmington Court.
    • Man arrested on warrant
    NEWARK — A Newark man was arrested at his home Oct. 22 on a warrant out of Manchester Town Court, Ontario County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Henry C. Bouwens, 25, 2163 Welcher Road, was arrested on awarrant for first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment, deputies said.
    He was transported to the Ontario County Jail and will appear in Manchester Town Court at a later date.
    • Woman arrested following traffic stop
    Page 3 of 4 - SODUS — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Rochester woman on Oct. 30 following a traffic stop on Ridge Road in Sodus.
    Laurie B. Rabideau, 34, of 222 Cedar Lane, Rochester, was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .18 percent or higher, failure to keep right, moved from lane unsafely, and refusal of a breath screening device.
    Rabideau was issued tickets and released. She is to appear in Sodus Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
    • Woman issued bad check
    WOLCOTT — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Marie A. Koons, 33, of Wilson Road, Wolcott, on Oct. 29, following an investigation in which it is alleged she issued a bad check in the amount of $186.19 to a Sodus business in September.
    Koons was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Sodus Town Court at a later date.
    • Man arrested for stalking, criminal contempt
    SODUS — Following an investigation into a domestic dispute, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Matthew J. Buttaccio, 57, of 4 State St., Sodus, on Oct. 28, for fourth-degree stalking and first-degree criminal contempt after he allegedly violated a Stay Away order of protection.
    It is alleged that Buttaccio called a family member several times on the phone and was told not to.
    Buttaccio was arraigned in Sodus Town Court and held without bail. He will return to court at a later date to answer the charges.
    • Man arrested for fleeing police
    ARCADIA — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Amin S. Hobbs, 35, of 7552 Route 31, Lyons, on Oct. 27.
    Hobbs was involved in a domestic violence incident at his residence and left prior to the arrival of police. He was located driving his vehicle on the west side of Newark and when deputies attempted to stop him, he fled at a high rate of speed. While fleeing, Hobbs lost control of his car and crashed just into Ontario County on Route 31. He was located in a field a short distance from the scene and taken into custody. Hobbs was arrested for third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer and numerous vehicle and traffic infractions.
    He was issued appearance tickets and turned over to the New York State Police for the investigation of the domestic incident. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Newark Police Department, the New York State Police and the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
    • Man arrested for criminal trespass
    HURON — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Adalberto Pecina Tovar, 30, of 7274 Lake Bluff Road, Huron, for criminal trespass on Oct. 14.
    Pecina Tovar was found on Marshal Farms property which was enclosed by a chain-link fence. Marshal Farms security caught him on the property and deputies responded to the scene and arrested Pecina Tovar for third-degree criminal trespass.
    Page 4 of 4 - He was arraigned in Huron Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of bail. He is scheduled to return to court at a later date to answer the charges.
