Jane McComb, an admissions counselor at Finger Lakes Community College, will express her gratitude to those who saved her life during a Newark Central School Board meeting Wednesday.
McComb was pulling a suitcase to the main entrance of Newark High School on Nov. 7 when everything went black. She awoke to find more than a dozen school employees and bystanders surrounding her, providing medical care and comforting words, according to a release from FLCC.
"I just want to thank them for my life, basically," stated McComb, who has worked at FLCC for almost 15 years. "I don't mean to be overly dramatic, but it's really true."
The public is invited to the meeting that will take at 7 p.m., Dec. 4, in the large group instruction room at Newark High School, 625 Peirson Ave.
McComb will be joined at the meeting by several FLCC colleagues, including President Barbara Risser.
