PALMYRA — An historic event put on by Historic Palmyra, Saturday, Dec. 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. called the Holiday Homestead Candlelight House Tour featuring six homes and two museums.
From the Beckwith Mansion on West Main Street to Tamerlayn on Quaker Road these unique brick and cobble stone homes are circa date 1820’s to 1850’s as well as two incredible, world class, museums decked out in holiday fare.
Begin your tour at Historic Palmyra’s Wm. Phelps General Store and home at 140 Market St., Palmyra, as the Phelps family welcomes you and shares their holiday joy. This is a driving tour with folks able to go at their own pace. Each house tour will be no more than 30 minutes per house and will end up at the Alling Coverlet for some warm cocoa, hot chili, and holiday snacks. A special handmade ornament will be given to each individual or couple to remember your event.
Tickets are being presold by contacting 597-6981 for $20. Tickets at the door are $25 so get your tickets early. A list of homes and a map will be in the special brochure made just for this event.
