Friends are invited to join the family from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5 at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 123 E. Jackson St., Palmyra, where his memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 6. Interment in Palmyra Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Red Cross or American Diabetes Association.
Predeceased by his parents Winfred and Freda Schinsing of Newark. Don is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sharon (Willatt) Schinsing; his children, Donald Jr. (Skip) and Suzanne (Garrihy) Schinsing, David and Sue (Taylor) Schinsing, Craig and Terri (Martens) Schinsing, Eric and Lori (Dalessio) Schinsing; grandchildren, Kyle Simmons, Morgan, Ryan, Grace, Leah, Cedella, Anna Mae, Matthew, Marlee and Libby Schinsing; brother, Robert Schinsing of Newark; and sister, Ina Schinsing from Geneva; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Don was a retired construction superintendent for the Robert F. Hyland Company, he was member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 276 for 58 years and enjoyed fishing at his home on Seneca Lake.
