  • Wilson graduates basic training
    Air Force Airman Brandon M. Wilson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
    The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
    Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
    Wilson is the son of Caroline and Thomas Wilson of Newark. He is a 2011 graduate of Newark High School.
    Demay graduates from basic training
    Army National Guard Private Joshua D. Demay graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
    Demay studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training. He also studied drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, field tactics, military courtesy and justice system, basic first aid and field training exercises.
    Demay, son of Daniel and Lesley Demay of Macedon, is a 2012 graduate of Gananda Central School, Walworth.
    Local men reenlist in Army National Guard
    Master Sergeant Victor Masser of Sodus and Specialist Randy Wright of Wolcott reenlisted in the New York Army National Guard.
    Masser will continue service with the Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1-258th Field Artillery, and Wright will continue service with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 102nd Military Police Battalion.
    Local Army National Guard member reenlists
    Master Sergeant Victor Masser of Sodus reenlisted to continue service with the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their continuing commitment to serve community, state and nation as part of the Army National Guard.
    Masser reenlisted to continue service with the Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1-258th Field Artiller.
