The organization helped more than 1,000 organic and sustainable farmers statewide in 2013.

The Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York, which helps local organic and sustainable farmers through programs and services, seeks end-of-year donations.

The organization in 2013 supported more than a 1,000 organic and sustainable farmers in statewide and connected tens of thousands of consumers to these farmers, the Rochester-based NOFA-NY stated in a release.

The majority of NOFA-NY's funding comes from federal grants while another significant portion comes from individual donations. NOFA-NY depends on members and supporters for their generous end-of-year gifts to sustain its programs and services, the organization stated.
