  • The Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York, which helps local organic and sustainable farmers through programs and services, seeks end-of-year donations.
The organization in 2013 supported more than a 1,000 organic and sustainable farmers in statewide and connected tens of thousands of consumers to these farmers, the Rochester-based NOFA-NY stated in a release.
The majority of NOFA-NY's funding comes from federal grants while another significant portion comes from individual donations. NOFA-NY depends on members and supporters for their generous end-of-year gifts to sustain its programs and services, the organization stated.
