NEWARK Newark Elks Lodge No. 1249 Exalted Ruler, James Sadler, was presented with a Bronze Sponsorship Plaque recognizing support of the 27th National Veterans Golden Age Games which were held between May 30 and June 4 in Buffalo. The Newark Lodge joined with six other West Central District Lodges including Rochester, Canandaigua, Webster/Fairport, Lyons, Wolcott and Seneca Falls in making a donation which came from a successful annual collection of deer hides used to benefit veteran programs.
Newark Elks Lodge is presently participating in the Nationwide Deer Hide Collection Program to benefit veteran hospitals and living centers. Contact Daniel Brennessel at 331-5574 or the lodge at 331-1249 for further information on this project and to make arrangements for the donation. Hides can be dropped off anytime at Brennessel Farms located at 262 Finewood Road in Newark. They may also be brought to the Lodge at 223 S. Main St. during open hours. Please attach the name of donor and it's designation for the Newark Elks Collection Program on any drop offs. Upon request, donors will be issued a Charitable Certificate for $35 for each hide.
So long as there are Veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them.
