Andy Wight
Red Jacket
Years coaching: 11
Season Highlights: Winning a fourth league championship in a row, a couple of big non-league wins, including a hard-fought battle with Class A Newark, and having the team get their picture taken with Abby Wambach after an open Flash practice.
What makes this team memorable: We lost a lot of talented seniors last year (six of them to college programs). Eleven of our current 18 players had never spent an entire season on varsity, so it was great to see them learn how to work together and win the league again.
Favorite part about coaching: I love trying to find solutions for what the team needs on the field. I also honestly enjoy watching my players enjoying themselves and the sport.
