  • • Man charged with DWI
    MACEDON — A Scottsville man was charged Dec. 22 with driving while intoxicated, Macedon police said.
    Michael J. Bowers, 55, was allegedly found in a suspicious vehicle discovered by an officer at Filer's Power Sports around 2 a.m. After further investigation Bowers was arrested for DWI common law. He later provided a breath sample of .13 percent blood-alcohol content.
    He issued an appearance ticket for Macedon Town Court and released.
    • Man arrested for damaging property
    HURON — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kurtis Matteson, 22, of 6346 Eddy Road, Huron, for fourth degree criminal mischief on Nov. 29, following a domestic incident at his residence.
    It is alleged that Matteson punched a wall during a dispute, causing damage to it.
    He was arraigned in Huron Town Court and remanded to Wayne County Jail in lieu of bail. He is scheduled to return to court at a later date to answer the charge.
    • Man arrested for alleged obstruction
    LYONS — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lamar R. Harvey, 30, of 10 Sandra Lane, Rochester, for second-degree obstructing governmental administration.
    Harvey was committed to the Wayne County Jail for theft of services and contempt of court after an arrest on Dec. 1 in the village of Newark. Harvey refused to comply with all booking procedures and was uncooperative with Corrections staff. On Dec. 2, Harvey still refused to cooperate with Corrections staff and was then charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration.
    He was arraigned in Lyons Town Court and remanded to Wayne County Jail in lieu of bail. He is to return to court at a later date to answer the charge.
    • Woman arrested for food stamp trafficking
    ONTARIO — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jessica A. Rolland, 31, of Lodi Court in Orchard Grove Park, Ontario, on Dec. 4, following an investigation into the illegal trafficking of food stamp benefits.
    Rolland was picked up by Sheriff’s deputies following a sting that caught Rolland selling her benefits at the rate of 50 cents on the dollar. She was charged with misuse of food stamps, and processed at the Sheriff’s Office in Lyons and released with an appearance ticket.
    If convicted, Rolland faces a permanent disqualification from the SNAP program. Her charge will be heard in Ontario Town Court at a later date.
    • Man arrested for endangering a child
    BUTLER — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Robert D. Debout Jr., 23, of 40 Marie Ave., Newark, on an arrest warrant issued out of the Butler Town Court for endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation of an incident that occurred in the early morning hours of Dec. 7.
    Debout was arraigned in Butler Town Court, and committed to Wayne County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail. He is to return to court at a later date.

    WALWORTH — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Donald T. Barteck, 56, of West Walworth Road, on Dec. 10, for second-degree harassment.
    It is alleged that Barteck was highly intoxicated and got into a verbal argument with his wife. During the argument, Barteck told his wife that he was going to kill her.
    He was arraigned in Walworth Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail on bail. Barteck will return to Walworth Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
    • Men arrested for criminal trespass, mischief
    MARION — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men for charges stemming from an investigation into a disturbance complaint at the Marion Village Apartments on Dec. 10.
    John C. Montes, 27, of 3852 N. Main St., Marion, and Jacob R. Follett, 26, of 169 W. Sherman Ave., Newark, were arrested. Montes was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal mischief, petit larceny and second-degree criminal trespass. Follet was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespass.
    Both were arraigned in Arcadia Town Court and released on their own recognizance. They are to return to court at a later date to answer the charges.
    • Man charged with harassment, criminal mischief
    ONTARIO — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Gary Goslee, 46, of 1897 Ridge Road, following a domestic incident at his residence on Dec. 12.
    Goslee allegedly had physical contact with another, verbally threatened that same person and damaged a cell phone. He was charged with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
    He was arraigned in Ontario Town Court where Judge Sucher issued a Stay Away order of protection. Goslee was remanded to the Wayne County Jail on $1,000 cash or $2,000 bail bond. He will return to court at a later date to answer the charges.
    • Woman arrested for issuing a bad check
    MACEDON — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Kimberly A. Dera, 48, of 466 Plank Road, Macedon, on Dec. 12, for issuing a bad check.
    It is alleged that on June 7, Dera presented a check to her landlord with insufficient funds in her account.
    Dera was arraigned in Macedon Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond.
    • Vehicle accident results in ticket for one driver
    ONTARIO — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the investigation of a two-vehicle accident in the town of Williamson on Dec. 12.
    John Immesoete, 51, of Salt Road, Webster, was northbound on Route 21, approaching the Route 104 intersection. He had the right of way and continued northbound through the intersection. Michael Whitmore, 59, of Ridge Road, Sodus, was eastbound on Route 104, and he allegedly failed to stop at the red traffic signal and continued through the intersection, causing a collision with Immesoete’s vehicle. Williamson Ambulance transported Immesoete to Rochester General Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
    Page 3 of 3 - Whitmore was issued a traffic ticket for operating his vehicle through a red signal. He will appear in Williamson Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
    The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Williamson Fire Department, EMS, Medic 82, and the New York State Police.
    • Woman arrested for shoplifting
    SODUS — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kari R. Spears, 27, of 6996 Ridge Road, Sodus, on Dec. 13, after she was observed stealing a bottle of Advil pain relievers.
    Spears was issued an appearance ticket for petit larceny. She is scheduled to appear in the Sodus Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
