    Years coaching: 18th
    Season Highlights: Led the Braves to their ninth-consecutive Section 5 Class B championship. Sent seven swimmers and one diver to the state meet in Ithaca. The team had great drops and improvements at the sectional meet.
    What makes this team memorable: Excellent leadership. The team dedicated the season to memory of former teammate Nate Romano who died in 2009.
    Favorite part about coaching: Watchings swimmers improve and seeing the interactions of teammates.
    SWIMMERS
    Jessica Bellis
    Canandaigua
    Sophomore
    Season highlights: Won the 200 individual medley at sectionals and placed fourth in the 500 freestyle. Helped the Braves win their ninth-straight Section 5 title.
    Most memorable moments: Getting to know new teammates. Winning sectionals. The pre-practice laughs.
    Heather Chrisman
    Canandaigua
    Junior
    Season highlights: Making a state time in the 100 free and helping make state cuts in the 200 free relay and 400 free relay. Finished second in the 100 and 200 free at sectionals. Broke the school record and Section 5 Class B record in the 400 free relay.
    Most memorable moments: Ending with the 400 free relay and getting nine sectional titles in a row.
    Plans for college: Looking out of state for forensic anthropology and swimming.
    Courtney Copper
    Marcus Whitman
    Sophomore
    Season highlights: Won the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke at the Section 5 Class C meet. Broke Whitman's breaststroke record, which was set in 1999. Broke the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke records at North Rose-Wolcott. Won the breaststroke at every meet. Helped the school's 200 free relay take first at the league championship.
    Most memorable moments: When I looked up at the scoreboard after finishing the 100 breaststroke and realizing I had won the event, broke the record I had set earlier in the year by over two seconds, and was only one-fifth off of states. I couldn't have been happier with myself.
    Plans for college: I definitely would like to swim in college.

    Season highlights: Qualified for states in the 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. Finished second in the 500 free at sectionals and third in the 200 free. Served as a team captain for a second season and made the All-Monroe County League team for a third year. Holds school records in the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay.
    Most memorable moments: Out-touching Fairport and Pittsford at sectionals in the 200 medley relay and coming in first by 0.01 at sectionals in that race. My relay also broke the school record.
    Plans for college: Considering Bates College, Hamilton College and Bowdoin College.

    Season highlights: Went undefeated in dual meets and 11-dive meets. Broke Newark's pool 11-dive record with a 426.05. Set Victor's pool record with a 269.2. Broke Canandaigua's varsity record twice. Recorded the top six-dive score in Section 5. Won a second-consecutive Section 5 Class B title. Went to states for a second-straight season.
    Most memorable moments: Breaking our school record, 255.70, with a 263.80 at home against Fairport, my coach's high school coach. Breaking our school record two days later at the Victor meet.
    Plans for college: Looking at Geneseo for diving, anthropology and spanish.

    Pal-Mac
    Senior
    Season highlights: Finished first in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke at the league championship. Placed second in the 200 IM at Class C sectionals and fifth in the 100 breaststroke. Helped Pal-Mac win the Finger Lakes League Championship meet and go undefeated in the Finger Lakes League. Swimmer of the meet at the League Championship. Named first-team All-Finger Lakes League in three events.
    Most memorable moments: The team winning our second-consecutive Finger Lakes League Championship and Invitational meet.
    Plans for college: Pursuing medical studies at a four-year college.

    Senior
    Season highlights: Qualified for states in the 50 free, 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. Helped the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay take first at Section 5 Class B meet. Took second in 50 free and third in 100 free at sectionals. Went to states for a fourth time.
    Most memorable moments: Setting a new meet record and school record in the 400 free relay and celebrating Canandaigua's sectional win with my teammates.
    Plans for college: Dual major in adolescence education and mathematics and continue my swim career.

    Freshman
    Season highlights: Took first place in diving in Section 5 Class A with a score of 422.85 and went on to the state meet. Won the Hilton Invitational. Finished the season with seven first-place finishes and one second-place finish. Ranked second in Section 5 with a six-dive score of 267.05.
    Most memorable moments: Qualifying for states in the first meet of the year with a score of 424.55 and winning the Section 5 Class A championship for the first time.
    Natalie Zaravella

    Sophomore
    Season highlights: The Section 5 Class A champion in the 200 IM (2:07.80) and 100 breaststroke (1:06.97), breaking school records for both events. The 200 IM time also broke a 10-year-old sectional meet record. Received the Class A sportsmanship award.
    Most memorable moments: Winning the 200 medley relay at sectionals by .01.
