The public can resume buying hunting, fishing and trapping licenses as well as reporting games harvests via a new computerized system.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation announced Friday its new computerized system is operational.
The transition of hunter, angler and trapper data required a temporary shutdown for sales of hunting, fishing and trapping licenses, recreational marine fishing registrations and harvest game reporting, the DEC reported. The data transfer is now done.
With the system up, all harvest data that has not been reported must be submitted by Jan. 20, 2014. Hunters, anglers, and trappers can buy sporting licenses, stamps and permits: at one of the nearly 1,500 locations statewide; via telephone (1-866-933-2257); or via the internet at https://aca.dec.accela.com/dec/
