Ontario County sheriff's deputies — along with the North Side and Border City fire departments, Finger Lakes Ambulance and North Seneca Ambulance — responded Sunday to a two-vehicle crash on Townline Road in Geneva, deputies said.
Deputies said Sophie Osytek, 18, of 1836 Worden Road, Seneca Falls, was traveling south on Townline Road at about 8 p.m. when she lost control of her vehicle, allegedly due to unsafe speed for the road conditions. Osytek's vehicle struck an oncoming vehicle operated by Alexandra Hall, 21, of 2224 Bixby Wood Drive, Savannah, deputies said.
Hall was taken to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital by Finger Lakes Ambulance crews for a check of a pre-existing medical condition, deputies said. A passenger in Osytek's vehicle, Andrea Lewis, 18, of 2696 Kingdom Road, Waterloo, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital after striking her head during the crash.
Osytek was issued a ticket for unsafe speed for the road conditions. She is scheduled to appear in Geneva Town Court.
