ARCADIA — Snow melt is to blame for the collapse of a building on Vienna Road in the town of Arcadia.
Code Enforcement Officer Chuck Verkey said heavy snow brought the roof down of the old Tonyís Tree and Landscaping building on the back side. By the Town Board meeting, Verkey said the owner, Tony Bartucca, came in for safety reasons and knocked down a third of the building that collapsed about two weeks ago.
Verkey reported it took NYSEG six days to come and shut off gas and electric to the building.
The building is uninhabited and no one was injured in the collapse
