With the winter storm predicted, Monroe County and Livingston County have issued travel advisories for Wednesday.

The travel advisory for Monroe County is for 10 a.m. to midnight Wednesday, and the advisory for Livingston County is for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. A travel advisory does not close the roads, but suggests that hazardous travel may be encountered and motorists should use caution.

The sheriff’s office in Livingston County says that for the afternoon hours — after 1 p.m. — the warning in that county will change to a notice of “no unnecessary travel," which means that hazardous driving conditions exist and no travel is recommended.
