ONTARIO — Members of the Ontario-Walworth Rotary Club gave every fifth grade student at Wayne Central a book as a special gift to promote literacy.
Each student received a copy of, “Andy and Elmer’s Apple Dumpling Adventure”, which is the story of a young entrepreneur who starts an apple dumpling business. With the guidance of a mysterious voice, conveying Rotary’s Four-Way Test (1. Is it the truth? 2. Is it fair to all concerned? 3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships? 4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?) he turns his venture into a wonderful success and makes friends along the way.
The story was written and illustrated by Andrew J. Shoup. And the book is jointly published by the Rotary Club of Fairborn and TokoBooks.
