A suspect is under arrest in this week's subway shoving death in New York City; the victim was pushed in front of an oncoming train.

"Because these proposed changes raise privacy risks for users, may be contrary to law, and violate your previous commitments to users about site governance, we urge you to withdraw the proposed changes," read a letter from two privacy groups — the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Center for Digital Democracy — to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The letter is in response to the proposed changes to Facebook's policy, and users have one week to vote on future privacy changes. Voting opened on Monday and users have until Monday, December 10, at noon PST to make their opinions heard.

Supporters and opponents of Egyptian leader Mohammed Morsi fought with rocks, firebombs and sticks outside the presidential palace in Cairo on Wednesday. Large-scale clashes marked the worst violence of a deepening crisis over the disputed consititution and Egypt's Health Ministry said 126 people have been wounded. Associated Press reports that the clash began when thousands of Islamist supporters of Morsi descended on the area around the presidential palace where some 300 of his opponents were staging a sit-in.
