Wayne Action for Racial Equality (WARE) will sponsor the 2013 Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration, "Our Children, the Hope for the Future," on Jan. 21 at the Redeem Bethel Church of God in Christ, 4494 Route 104, Williamson.
The celebration will begin at noon and complimentary refreshments will be served at 2 p.m. This is the 26th consecutive year of WARE's sponsorship of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration in Wayne County.
The event will feature a keynote address by Dr. Arlette Miller Smith, Director of African-American Studies and Associate Professor: Departments of Interdisciplinary Studies and English at St. John Fisher College. Creative presentations by students from throughout Wayne County will also take place.
