The annual competition of Exalted Rulers from the lodges within the West Central District was recently completed. This competition evaluates the Exalted Rulers in the presentation of the Ritual known as the “Eleventh Hour Toast”.

The Elks Leaders from the West Central District who competed were as follows: Warren Frederickson of Seneca Falls No. 992, Thomas Resue of Wolcott No. 1763, Bradley Whittaker of Newark No. 1249, Guy Ellis of Canandaigua No. 1844, George Wambold of Rochester No. 24, Richard Maas of Webster-Fairport No. 2396 and Emily Wunder of Lyons No. 869. The contest was evaluated by word-accuracy Judges Shannon McVeigh, Jim Sadler and Julie Wunder. Judges evaluating the impressiveness of the competitors were Robert Wagner, Peter Morsdorf and Mark Sedore.

At the conclusion of the contest, it was announced that Exalted Ruler Emily Wunder of Lyons Lodge No. 869 was the winner. District Ritual Chairmen Scott Seltzer and Gary Rogers presented the trophy to Exalted Ruler Wunder. The championship trophy will be displayed at Lyons Elks Lodge No. 869 until next year’s competition.
