A Canandaigua man was charged Oct. 6 after allegedly filing false paperwork with New York State Insurance Fund that resulted in a loss of $3,973.24 for the fund, said Ontario County sheriff’s deputies.
According to deputies, Patrick Rosenzweig, 31, of 3104 Booth Road, allegedly filed the false paperwork and was paid worker’s compensation, while he was still working.
He was charged with worker’s compensation fraud, making a false statement in workers compensation insurance applications, offering a false instrument for filing the paperwork and grand larceny — all felonies, said deputies.
He was arraigned in Hopewell Town Court and sent to the custody of the sheriff in lieu of bail.
