A Newark man accused of attacking a woman and taking her car is facing new charges.
Seth Brown, 31, is charged with third-degree attempted robbery in addition to robbery and grand larceny charges from last week.
The arrest stems from an investigation of a robbery on Jan. 10 in the Village of Newark, when Newark Police arrested Brown for charges within the village.
While fleeing from Newark, police say, he demanded a woman drive him to Fairport, then a man picked him up on Route 31 in Palmyra. Police say Brown tried to force the man to drive to an ATM and withdraw money.
The victim luckily spotted a police car, pulled up to it and jumped out of his car.
Brown is in the Wayne County Jail without bail.
