Father Felix Dalimpuo, pastor of St. Michael's Church in Newark, recently announced the retirement of Music Director, Barbara Rathbun.

Rathbun was honored by over one hundred guests at a special reception put on by the Rosary and Altar Society under the direction of Monika Brunner. She said that she was delighted at the outpouring of good wishes and went on to state that, "It has been my pleasure to make music with the St. Michael's Community for these 16 1/2 years. The Catholic music currently being composed is outstanding. I have been fortunate to have become acquainted with it and my life has been enriched by it. I have also been fortunate to be able to play the new pipe organ which is outstanding."

Father Felix added, "It has been a pleasure working with Barbara and I admire her love for music. She has been an asset and a blessing to St. Michael's. I will definitely miss her music."

A new Music Director is now needed by the church and interested applicants can call 315-331-6753 for further information on this open position.
