Police say a 48-year-old man has died after getting pinned underneath the tractor he was driving when it overturned on his western New York farm.

Authorities in Steuben County say police were called to Mark Quinby's home in the town of Bath around 2:40 p.m. Monday. Police say that neighbors had gone to the home to locate Quinby and found him pinned by the tractor in a field at his farm in the Southern Tier, 60 miles southeast of Rochester.

Police say Quinby died after the tractor struck a round hay bale and rolled earlier in the day.

Quinby was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office in Rochester for an autopsy.
