New York State police are looking for the person who entered an antique store in Farmington and allegedly stole between thirty to forty gold rings.
The alleged incident happened around 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the Ontario Mall Antiques on Route 332 in Farmington.
According to police, the suspect allegedly smashed a window with a claw hammer and then entered the store. The suspect smashed a display case and put thirty to forty gold rings with gem stones into a cardboard box, police said. The rings include amethyst, blue topaz, peridot, citrine and garnet. Police said the rings are worth between $150 and $500 each.
The suspect took off and was in the store for less than 30 seconds.
According to police, the suspect was wearing a royal blue colored hoodie, jeans and work boots. Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at (585) 398-4121.
