A former Canandaigua Academy Spanish teacher who was charged with having a sexual relationship with a student will return to Canandaigua City Court March 1.
Lisa Footer, 44, of 60 Clifton St., Manchester, was originally scheduled to appear in court Jan. 30; however, that was postponed.
Footer was charged with third-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly having sexual contact with a 16-year-old student Nov. 10 in the parking lot of the Byrne Dairy store in Canandaigua. She was also charged Nov. 16 with endangering the welfare of a child for a similar incident that allegedly took place at her residence in Manchester.
She resigned from Canandaigua Academy in December.
