A Henrietta teen was charged Feb. 1 after allegedly pushing a Walmart employee into a wall, and attempting to run, said Ontario County sheriff’s deputies.
Wayne A. Barnes, 19, of 286 Bennington Hill Courts, was charged with second-degree harassment and petit larceny, police said.
According to deputies, Barnes was stopped by a loss prevention employee from the Hopewell Walmart after allegedly passing points of sale without paying for $45.84 worth of items. Once detained, he allegedly pushed a store manager into a wall and attempted to flee, police said.
He was later apprehended by deputies and sent to the Ontario County Jail.
He will appear at the Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
