The Wedding Singer is a musical comedy that takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up, and a wedding singer might just be the coolest guy in the room. The musical is based on the 1998 movie of the same name, the musical version of The Wedding Singer opened on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre that closed in nine months after 284 performances.

It's 1985, and rock-star wannabe Robbie Hart is New Jersey's favorite wedding singer. He's the life of the party, until his own fiancée leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own. Enter Julia, a winsome waitress who wins his affection. As luck would have it, Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever.

Senior Sidney Cannon-Bailey is Julia Sullivan and Senior Connor Finnegan is her fiancé, Glen Guglia. Junior Holden Maiorana is wedding singer Robbie Hart, and is backed up by his band, Juniors Kyler Schwind as Sammy and Colin Nims as George.

Senior Haley Smith is Rosie, Robbie’s rapping grandmother. Junior Sarah Looney is Robbie’s fiancée Linda, and Junior Ashleigh Petrucci is Holly, Julia’s cousin.

The cast includes Senior Sarah Mykins, Juniors David Carder, Paola Figueroa, Kristina Keenan, Ben Schumacher, Lauren Tichacek, Eric Veytsman, and Andy York, and Freshmen Kayleigh Block, Madeline Donegan, Jennifer Powell and Aleksandra Sprague.  These actors play multiple roles throughout the show.  Don’t be surprised to see Billy Idol, Tina Turner or Nancy Reagan on the stage!

Senior Bethany Lane serves as Student Director for this year’s show.  The crew includes McKenna Cannon-Bailey, Ryan Finnegan, Maeghan Harrison, Taylere Hermann, Amelia Horsford, Alex Jenny, McKenzie Jozwiak, Caroline Maiorana, Lucy Montanaro, Alina Mueller, Nick Skrotzki, Emily Stange and Michaela White.

The stage will rock with the energy of the 80s for this fun weekend in March! Get your tickets now!
