Applications for the 33rd annual Wayne County Fair Queen/Princess Pageant are available now at Wayne County High School and Middle School offices, Wayne County 4-H Office, or by calling Pam Ferranti at (585) 305-8833), or online at www.waynecountyfair.org.
All applications must be returned by March 3. Numerous pre-pageant activities have been planned.
Residents, ages 13-18 as of Aug. 1, 2012, of Wayne County, or members of the Wayne County 4-H program, are eligible to compete for the title of Wayne County Fair Queen or Princess, depending on their age.
Considered to be one of the largest pageants in the tri-county area, contestants will receive an opportunity to enhance their public speaking and interpersonal skills.
All applicants are required to attend the first meeting on Monday, March 5, 6:30 p.m. at the Palmyra Fire Hall, Rt. 31, with a parent or guardian.
The pageant will be Friday, April 27 at Marion High School. Nine winners will reign over the 156th annual Wayne County Fair Aug. 13-18 in Palmyra.
